The proPassion team collaborated with industry partners since 2008 till present. When the consultancy was first established, students under Diploma in Communications managed projects. Since then it has become part of the program for the final year degree students of Bachelor of Mass Communications.

Be The Next ChiChi & ChaCha Star

The latest project proPassion worked on was a kids talent search, collaborating with Big Fish Media Sdn Bhd. The consultancy worked closely with their client to amplify the awareness of Chichi & Chacha, first-ever Malay edutainment television program for children; featuring live action celebrity hosts and 3D animated characters. Besides that, students also aimed to connect and engage with targeted audience to build the Chichi and Chacha brand as the leading edutainment brand for children below 12 in Malaysia. Also, students aimed to leverage on the popularity of the 5 Malay television hosts of the show. Students worked together to achieve RM240,000 PR value by garnering coverage through both traditional and social media.

The consultancy organized a social good project in conjunction with the launch of Encorp Strand Mall whereby 32 underprivileged children of Praise Emmanuel Children’s Home and Rumah Amal Suci Rohani were treated to a ‘Lights! Camera! Action!’ experience at Kota Damansara.

 

The children, aged between 6 to 17 years old, were given the opportunity to attend upcycling workshops with Chichi & Chacha Showcase, dress up and role play as their favourite superheroes, and taking drum and gymnastic lessons at The Little Gym Malaysia and Yamaha respectively.

 

The student consultancy aimed to garner positive attention towards Encorp Strand Mall and also increase media impressions and coverage of RM150,000 of PR Value within 1 month. Besides that, they aimed to have an effect on the social media engagement of patrons and also gain fans through on-ground promotional activities.

 

Prior to the celebrations of the day, the consultancy also ran a week-long fund-raising event selling candies and tissues in Taylor’s University, and other hangout spots in Kota Damansara, Petaling Jaya. Due to this, the students raised RM6,000 to be channeled entirely to Praise Emmanuel Children’s Home and Rumah Amal Suci Rohani.

Dutch Lady’s Inspire Tomorrow Workshop Public Relations Campaign

In conjunction with Dutch Lady’s golden anniversary, one of the aims of the campaign was to inspire underprivileged children by getting them involved in customized educational workshops. These workshops aimed to ignite their passion and uncover hidden talent in areas such as art, music, technology and sports. Also, it aimed to teach, train and inspire the children in areas outside of their formal education.

 

The student consultancy worked with their client, Dutch Lady Milk Industries (DLMI) Malaysia, to increase positive awareness of the Inspire Tomorrow Campaign and Workshops and also expand publicity mileage. They also worked as a team to promote a positive image of DLMI.

 

The team worked to achieve the KPI set which included having five media each in at least three workshops at different venues, achieving a PR value of a minimum of RM50,000 garnering media coverage in three print mediums and two broadcast stations and achieving coverage in digital media.

 

In the final presentation to Dutch Lady, the team shared that they were able to meet the KPI, and in some areas surpassed the KPI that was set for them by Dutch Lady. 

CommFest 2012

Social- Lympics is a project organized by semester 4 diploma students for CommFest 2012. This event aimed to bring as many youths together via the FIRST EVER SOCIAL MEDIA OLYMPICS. It was a one-day event inspired by Olympics and social media.

Reduce, Reuse, Recycle Campaign

A recycling campaign with an exchange of pizza which comprised of other sub-events and other activities to engage the local community of the Serdang and Sri Kembangan area. It was in conjunction with the launch of F3 Capital’s development,  UNIV360PLACE which took place at UNIV360PLACE Showroom, Serdang on 14th April 2012.

CommFest 2011

CommFest 2011 was the platform for the youths to gain knowledge and learn more about communication. Youths were able to attend interactive sessions called the Media Circuit Live with some of the biggest names in the local media industry. Also, youths enjoyed Art Bazaar by local artists and had their 30seconds to fame by showcasing their talent at YUBERACTIVE MC in Action! search! 

Plus, there was the chance to experience on-ground communication activities, including the inaugural of faceME Project. Organised by Mypartners Communications in conjunction with the Communication Festival 2011, the faceME Project was an on-ground platform that aims to inspire youths to go offline and connect face-to-face with one another. Youths performed live on the MeTube Stage and took part in the angryME game, inspired by Angry Birds. 

Besides that, there was a Fashionology event for youths to kept up to date with the latest fashion trends. Youths were exposed to a firsthand experience where fashion meets technology at this event. 

Glam Tour

The student consultancy organized a Glam Tour party in collaboration with Mypartners to directly build relationships, and also help the youths to understand YUBERACTIVE better! 

 

Attendees, dressed in glamorous suits and dresses, enjoyed exciting interactional activities and performances during the event. Also, the finale of the Glam Hunt competition was held whereby contestants who went through a makeover during the YUBERACTIVE roadshows over the past weeks. The top 7 contestants with the highest votes on the YUBERACTIVE Facebook page was shortlisted for the finales.

CommFest 2010

CommFest was a flagship event by the School of Communication in Taylor’s University that featured two major events namely Mass Colympics and Media Carnival under one banner. With the tagline ‘Xpress Freely, Xperience Reality‘, this festival aimed to expose students as well as the public, to the field of Communication through expression of Arts and Sports. Both events (Mass Colympics & Media Carnival) were organized separately during the past years.

YuberActive Launch

Yuberactive was launched  by Mypartners in January 2011. In conjunction with the launch of the site, Semester 6, Diploma in Communication students from proPassion organized a Yuberactive PARTY! 

 

Mass Colympics
 2009
 

proPassion organized a sports carnival event known as Mass Colympics '09: Extreme Without Limitations. It was held at Xtion Paintball Park in Bukit Jalil on the 18th of April 2009.

Games that included on that day were paintball, street futsal, beach futsal, amazing race, rock climbing, foosball and etc. Also, the infamous Allan Wu from Asia Amazing Race was present on that day to officialize the event.

Beauty8 Expo

proPassion represented Thai spa brand, Sukhita for the international beauty trade exhibition Beauty8 Expo held at PWTC on the 15th - 18th September 2008.

The main activities carried out at Sukhita's booth during the expo were the dissemination of brochures, as well as on-the-spot product demo. The former soon became the main attraction to the crowd, as the booth was constantly swarmed with trade visitors, media and members of the public. Visitors were given the opportunity to experience the ultimate spa indulgence with Sukhita's environmental-friendly products.

DiGi D'Ultimate Birthday Bash

proPassion members teamed up with Mypartners Communication to organise D'Ultimate Birthday Bash by DiGi. This was a birthday bash to celebrate the birthday of those born in Octpber, November and December. It was held on 3 October 2009 at Bar Celona.

Famous celebs such as Celebrity Deejay - Joey G, FLY FM DJ, singer & actress - Hunny Madu, AIM Winner - Liang and Ultimate Power Group Winner - FRIENDZ attended the event.
