Winston T.L. Lim

 

Mr Lim is a senior lecturer at Taylor’s University School of Communication and is also an advisor for proPassion Communications. He has been lecturing for 10 years. 

 

Education

Mr Lim received his Bachelor degree in Commerce (majoring in Management & Marketing) from Curtin University in 1998 and his Masters degree in Media & Communications from Goldsmiths,  University of London in 2005. 

 

Awards & Honours

Mr Lim led his team of students to 2nd and 3rd placing in the "Jiwa Baru: Short Film Competition 2009” for the awareness of the treatment of drug dependence, in collaboration with Schering-Plough, the pharmaceutical company, in 2009.

Scholarly Activities

Mr Lim’s areas of research interest are in pop culture, social media news reporting, the Malaysian diaspora, and the Malaysian brain drain.

 

He has presented and participated in a few conferences, most notably, the 3rd and 5th International SEARCH Conference, Kuala Lumpur in 2013 and 2017.

 

Mr Lim has previous work experience in the pharmaceutical industry in the areas of marketing, sales, public relations and training.
